On May 9th, a meeting was held at our conference room to welcome 11 international students from Laos. They are to study in faculties of Construction Engineering Technology and Engineering Surveying Technology at our school for the coming two years.
Wang Zongxiang, Dean of School of International Communication and Cooperation, led the international students to SCET, and introduced some fundamental condition about the students. He mentioned his expectation that all the students should fulfill academic achievements and obey the regulations and discipline.
Dean Chen Nianhe, on behalf of SCET, expressed hospitable welcome to the new students, congratulating their joining the school, and declared that everyone of the school will help the new students adapt to new life at our best. Chen said at the meeting, professional curriculums particularly designed for the Laotian students have already been prepared and we would also help Laotian students with daily life and better adaption to the environment in China.
Laotian students expressed their thanks for the school’s warm welcome, then made self-introduction one by one, and talked about their study and career plans.
Some of the school leaders and faculty managers also attended the meeting.
